PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

¨ Consultant Jolicoeur & Associates providing Product Design, Pricing, Product Management, Underwriting, Reserves/Valuations, Operations/Administration, Financial Modeling, Executive Management, Planning, Information Technology and Compliance/Regulatory Advocacy.

¨ Chief Actuary and Executive Vice President at Individual Assurance Company (IAC) and a member of its Board of Directors.

¨ Vice President and Product Manager for Debt Protection Products at CUNA Mutual Insurance Group responsible for the development and roll out of a new product line to credit unions.  Also held many other actuarial and non-actuarial roles at CMIG.

¨ Collectively, over 40 years of professional experience in both actuarial and non-actuarial roles with respect to group life and individual life insurance products; with deep knowledge of Credit Related Insurance and Debt Protection Products, Group Life, and Individual Life Products.

¨  In addition to consulting for Jolicoeur and Associates Risk Solutions, LLC, Keith is founder and president of TAYLOR LAKE CREATIVE, LLC providing Actuarial and Management Consulting services, which also brings with it a strategic actuarial consulting relationship with Hause Actuarial Solutions.


 ACCOMPLISHMENTS


Keith began his career with CUNA Mutual Insurance Group in 1975 and served in many actuarial and non-actuarial roles spanning 28 years.  Since 2003, he has expanded this experience and relationships working directly, and indirectly, with a variety of companies serving a variety of markets with a variety of insurance and protection products.

Keith’s accomplishments include:

¨ Helped build the CUNA Mutual credit insurance business and positioned CMIG as the largest provider of credit life and credit disability insurance in the world.

¨ Introduced and led the development of debt protection products at CMG.  This included leading the installation of the first credit union debt protection product at United Airlines Credit Union (now Alliant Credit Union).

¨ Co-authored text book titled Debt Protection Products with Gary Fagg.  This book is a comprehensive resource covering all aspects of debt protection products.  He has delivered a number of speeches, written articles, and participated in a variety of teaching sessions on these products.

¨ Stepped in as the product manager, product actuary, and relationship manager for the IAC employer group life business sold throughout Micronesia and successfully returned it to profitability.  This storied franchise was a core business for IAC and its profitability was critical to their long term success.

¨Served on the Board of Directors of the Credit Insurance Industry Association (CCIA) which is the trade association for insurers and lenders offering credit related insurance and protection products.  This work provided broad exposure and experience to all types of lenders, service providers, and insurers serving these markets.
